Be Strong Even When You Feel Weak, Jesus Is Our Strength

Welcome to Covenant of Hope Ministries and our sermon or midweek study. You will normally see us posted on Sunday. I am Rev. Laura A. Neff. Our ministry was built on the truth of God’s love. It doesn’t conform to society’s wishes. This ministry shares the Word of God, the Spirit of Christ Jesus. Those who know me well will recognize that there are definitive differences in the creation of every sermon from this point forward. It is God’s will that has brought this to be. We wish only that God’s truth will be shared within His words as brought to us by the Spirit as it fills my heart, mind, and soul to be shared with my hands, but with His words alone.

You will find us in the following location: http://www.covenantofhopeministries.blogspot.com

Prayer List: We have many on our prayer list. Some wish to remain anonymous, and others only wish to have their first names mentioned. Our prayer list grows or changes every week. This is our current list.

- Please continue to pray for Elder Cal Jennings and his health issues, which are numerous. He has been having issues with his pain, vision, and memory. Add to the prayers with a need for new housing as the family is in dire straits there at this point in time.

- Please pray for health, faith, and hope boosters to help bless Sister Theresa Bogard as she continues in her recovery from her ulcer and this week after a swollen and painful knee that barely lets her walk some days.

- We are ever watchful in regard to the weather, the unrest, and the virus and response to that virus. Let us pray for calm skies and seas, calm voices and spirits, and also healthy outcomes for those who are affected.

- We pray for the residents of California, Oregon, and Washington in the US as the wildfires continue to consume more and more of the west coast.

- We pray for the residents in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, and Florida as yet another hurricane barrels toward them.

- We pray that the upcoming school year is filled with progress for our children who are attending and for the teachers and staff that must adapt to what is considered the “new normal” around this world.

- Pray for five of my family members as they go through some dramatic changes in some cases. They asked not to be mentioned by name, but God knows who they are.

- Be thankful for each day we live as we do not know what tomorrow brings.

- Pray for our outreach ministries with Pastor Stephen Okoth, Pastor Robert Nganwa, Pastor Simon Peter Javaji, Rev. Lisa Tyler, and all the others who have joined us.

- Pray for our nations that the voice of God be heard through the Spirit.

- Pray for our friends and families that their tomorrows bring blessings and pray our own be the same.

- Pray for those suffering as a result of the terrors that have occurred just this past week around this world.

- Pray for our sick and wounded that they may heal.

- Pray that truth is revealed where falsehoods have been shared around this world.

Prayer: Father in heaven, this is our prayer for today. We bring our sick and wounded up in prayer. We pray for answers to mysteries for health issues and money issues with several members and family members. We pray for those who have weathered this virus and are still suffering as a result. We pray for our poor and desolate, our brothers and sisters who have been brought devastation due to the terrors around this world and all of the natural disasters, storms, and so forth this past week. We pray for those in our outreach ministries that their reach gains momentum and their needs are met. For each of these we pray in Your Holy Name, through our Savior Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, Amen and so it shall be.

Sermon: We are working through the end of Chapter 3 in Ephesians. We start where we left off last Sunday. Our first verse is here.

Ephesians 3:16 KJV – That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Jesus left this earth and His disciples and Apostles with a mission to regain that which was lost when Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden. He gave something back to us that was lost, and, at that same moment, proved to defeat Satan and death because He rose from the dead and then ascended into heaven. Jesus promised His followers that they were seeing and hearing and doing things many before them had wanted to manage, but never did. That’s what we see here in the first of the gospels.

Matthew 13:17 KJV – For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

All the Apostles were there at that moment. Paul, one of those twelve men, went on forward after Christ arose and ascended into heaven. He taught to ensure that those who had never seen, or heard, Jesus while He lived, learned exactly what was expected from first hand experience. He shares how much Jesus wants us to learn here. Listen carefully to this verse as Paul teaches in Rome.

Romans 16:25 KJV – Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

What is the secret that existed from the beginning of the world? Well, that’s something we already know if we are devout and true Christians. The secret is, we have to believe, without eyes that see, without ears that hear His voice. Believing in this fashion is known as pure faith. Salvation is more than possible when we believe with all of our being in the truth of God’s unconditional love as shared through Jesus Christ and His teachings and the Holy Spirit, the great Comforter, since He ascended into heaven. Peter shares more about this immense gift.

1 Peter 1:10-12 KJV – Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Peter learned some seriously hard lessons just prior to the crucifixion of Christ. In doing so, his faith not only swelled to fill him fully, it was proven in all that he taught newcomers to Christianity all the way to the day of his death. It is something that people could never truly understand to the most infinitesimal depths as the twelve did and shared through whatever remained of their lives, the hierarchy of which is shared here.

1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV – And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

We all remember the phrase a place for everything and everything in its place. We also remember the thought miracles come to those who wait. Every one of us who feels the compulsion to teach God’s Word, recognizes these traits and needs. We are, all of us, able to be teachers, prophets, apostles, healers, and able to communicate, no matter if there is a language barrier or not. Language barriers are overcome because unconditional love does not need a language. It is a language all on its own. It is shared with every single syllable of Scripture. The Word, as Scripture would be, is seen clearly in our next verse.

Ephesians 3:17 KJV – That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Unconditional love, yes, we talk about this a lot. It is love that helps keep this world and the people living here, no matter their circumstances, alive, able to share life with others, and able to right the wrongs in this world with just the ability to share, unconditionally, the most complicated, yet simplest of godly gifts, love. Even to this moment in time, what the world and the people living here need the most is love. These next three verses share how large the influence of our Creator would be seen then, and even now.

Isaiah 43:13 KJV – Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

Colossians 2:2 KJV – That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

1 Corinthians 15:9 KJV – For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Paul often felt that he would be far below what Jesus assured him he was worth. It’s hard, sometimes, even for some of us today, to understand just how important we are, even when we feel unworthy. Paul felt that he had persecuted the true church of God because of his position in the economic and religious aspects of the Jewish hierarchy. Though the position offered him power in some ways, that power meant nothing to him once Jesus called for him to follow Him and His ways. Paul shares what it meant to him at the point of the resurrection and forward from there. We see that here in his words to the citizens of Ephesus.

Ephesians 3:18-19 KJV – May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Understanding what it meant to be considered a saint, and how far within those who are considered saintly that power of God’s unconditional love could be. The love of Christ is an important element in our lives. Jesus loves us, as we should love Him, unconditionally, without limitations, flawless. Sure, we have our bad elements in our personalities, our actions and reactions, but when we give our lives to God and Christ through the Holy Spirit, that all gets washed away and replaced by the pure love of God.

Colossians 1:27 KJV – To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1 Timothy 3:16 KJV – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

See this that Timothy shares? The mystery of godliness, made to exist in the flesh as Jesus Christ our Savior, who was justified in the Holy Spirit if you remember His baptism and the sight of the white dove and the voice of the Heavenly Father. All of that remembered, shared, reflected, with everyone, and anyone, Jew, Gentile, even the Angels and, yes, even Satan. Jesus was heard by everyone and always will be heard if we remember to be grateful and thankful of the work He did when He was here on this earth teaching the truth of God’s Word.

Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV – Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

These final verses of the third chapter of Ephesians show something specific about what Christ can do in this world for those of us who believe with all of our hearts, minds, spirits, and souls. No matter how long it has been since Jesus lived on this earth and walked amidst the living souls here, His presence is still here within us, around us, and we should share that gift of the Spirit with anyone we might meet, whether friend or foe, known or unknown, for it is what Jesus taught us to be. His earthly brother James shares what it means to have that amount of faith here in our last verse.

James 1:6 KJV – But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Don’t be shaky, worried, any of that anxiety, when it comes to preaching and teaching God’s Word. It weakens the gift that His Word would be. Always teach and preach, share, and care, for the word with all the strength you have, even if you feel weak, with the gift of Jesus in your heart and mind, spirit and soul, makes you stronger than you could ever be alone. Now that’s something to think about as we pray in the prayer that Jesus taught us saying:

Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done.
In earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:9-13)

Prayer List: We have many on our prayer list. Some wish to remain anonymous, and others only wish to have their first names mentioned. Our prayer list grows or changes every week. This is our current list.

- A friend of mine is suffering from respiratory issues along with her family members, and her animals have been seeking a new home due to disastrous flooding that has made their apartment complex unlivable. Pray that the leads they have now will allow them to find that new, safe, and comfortable haven.

- Another friend of mine will be traveling across the ocean to England with his family. Keep them in your prayers for a safe journey and that they find what they are seeking there.

- Elder Cal Jennings has let me know, that he is still very, very ill with Bronchitis bordering on Pneumonia at this point in time. His pain is constant, due to a fall last week or so, but since they put him in a brace, the pain levels have dropped. May the Lord bring his spirits up and help heal him and ease his pain even more.

- Please pray for job opportunities or offers to help bless Sister Theresa Bogard.

- Please pray for a dear friend and colleague who has just learned they might have very serious problems. She has had so many issues that this week the doctor has insisted on special tests to determine what is going on. Help me help this friend of mine with strength of compassion and more.

- Be thankful for each day we live as we do not know what tomorrow brings.

Prayer: Father in heaven, today we bring up in prayer those who have lost their hope, suffered from pain and sorrow, and need direction in Your Unconditional love. We bring up to you those who have been sick, injured, suffering and in need of healing. We pray for hope to be found within the hearts of those who have felt loss. We pray for the dying and the sick. We pray for peace in the midst of despair, fear, and chaos. For each of these we pray in Your Holy Name, through our Savior Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, Amen and so it shall be.

Sermon: We have been discussing hope. This is one subject we often hear about, hope for the best, here’s hoping, and other common phrases on a near daily basis. This past week, I too found myself “hoping” for good news in several directions. Thank God, I got that good news, in six directions. I still, however, continue to pray for the hope of others, that their prayers will be answered. Those of us who believe, and work toward continuing and excelling in the view of hope. This fits very well when I look to the LORD for the gift of hope.

Proverbs 10:28 KJV – The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

When our hopes become fulfilled, of course, we’re happy. Righteousness and hope, gladness and joy, all part of each other. We watch as wickedness leads to more peril and terror, and yet we can still have hope. Why is that? Well, God provides that glimmer of hope, no matter how terrible life may seem for us. I have watched friends and family suffer through worry, fear, pain, sorrow, and yet, hope still exists, even in their worst days and nights. There’s always tomorrow for dreams to come true, as a childhood favorite shares. Hope helps those who believe in the gift of our Savior, and His sacrifice to keep us on the path toward righteousness began singularly because there is hope in this world, God’s hope is found in true righteousness, faith, belief, and the pursuit of eternal peace in unconditional love.

Proverbs 11:7 KJV – When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

Hope is the one thing that keeps the view of unconditional love in the hearts of the righteous, the just, the ones who have learned well what the phrase love one another as He loves us all the way to the heart and soul, spirit, and mind. When we do, wickedness has no handhold within any Christian. Another phrase I have seen and heard this week, a true Christian is one that realizes there is that part of us that is not perfectly righteous, a little naughty, a little wayward, and yet, because we believe and we have hope in that belief, we are following Christ as much as we can.

Proverbs 13:12 KJV – Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

See how hope can change your life? Hope transforms the bad things in life to something we can look forward to. If we forget to hold on to hope, we can become sickly, flat out ill, and in some cases, die because of that loss of hope. When you work toward hope and keep that single flame flickering and dancing in your heart and mind and soul, your spirits will rise higher and higher and ensure that we breathe life into our view of eternal life.

Proverbs 14:32 KJV – The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

Several times I have been asked if I believe in life after death. I have always said, with God everything is possible. It’s not just a verse in Scripture, as was shared last week. It’s something that proves hope is one of the greatest gifts God ever brought to us. I have known so many who, despite all the terrible things that have happened in their lives, they still have that hope that God will see them through whatever chaos they’re headed for. Several have been through the gamut in their lives, everything thrown at them, and yet, they see the brighter side, the happier view, even in the midst of their chaos. That’s something God gives us through Christ, the Holy Spirit holds us up even in the midst of that chaos. Yet, we also need to be careful how much we celebrate, remember, don’t boast about it because there will come a day when you teeter on the brink of pain and sorrow. These two verses share that view.

Proverbs 19:18 KJV – Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Proverbs 26:12 KJV – Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Now, here comes the part where we remember our grandmothers and their sage advice. “Watch what you say.” They often add this one. “Think before you open your mouth.” To this day, I think about anything and everything when I feel the need to speak out about something. Now, I’m not saying I haven’t screwed up with how I say something, or when I put in my two cents, but watching when and how I react to things has taught me something, which I hope people also learn, it’s not just what you say, it’s how you say it, that can be misconstrued, and twisted. Think before you speak as shared here.

Proverbs 29:20 KJV – Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Slow down. Think about it. Reflect on your position in anything and everything. Then, when you have done all that, speak with the knowledge that you seek to share with everyone. Never hurry, and there will be no worry. It’s something we have most likely heard at some point in our lives. Whether or not we have actually paid attention to that, is up for our personal debate.

Ecclesiastes 9:4 KJV – For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

Hoping for life, no matter if it is perfect in every way, or decidedly imperfect, but worthy of more than a little joy, is far better than just saying forget it, I’m done. We may not have the most perfect of lives, but with Jesus, with God, we can hope for a blessing in the midst of our chaos. There are worse things that could be. All we have to do is turn on the television, read the paper, and realize anything is possible, good, bad, ugly, or in between, and remembering the fact that living life has so many good things to look forward to. Death is not a sentence if you hope in the faith and belief that God brought us through Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 38:18 KJV – For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Sometimes life can make us tired. There are days where we feel as though life is hopeless. When we are weary, and losing hope, it is very hard to pull ourselves out of that sort of tailspin. We have seen this throughout life in this world today, and through the Scriptures, where hope seems to be lost in the hearts of so many of the people there.

Isaiah 57:10 KJV – Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.

Hope is something that we have to nurture, to help continue on. It is one of the greatest portions of Unconditional Love that we often forget about. Hope, when it is brought into our thoughts through good faith, sage belief, even in the midst of total earthly chaos, sorrow, pain, and fear, proves just how much we believe in God’s grace. There is nothing better in life than Unconditional Love. That is where hope lives. Now that’s something to think about as we pray in the prayer that Jesus taught us saying:

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:9-13)

Trust in the LORD More Than Man

Good afternoon, welcome to Covenant of Hope Ministries. My name is Rev. Laura A. Neff, the Rainbow Minister. The choice for Rainbow has to do with the fact that the rainbow symbolizes a promise made and one that can and will be kept. I made, long ago, a promise to God that I would do all I could to keep that faith within me. We are normally posted on Sundays for sermons and Wednesdays for studies. You can find these posted in the following locations.

- Pray for our members Theresa and Wayne who had a very rough year last year. May some of their trials and tribulations end in time for our celebration of the birth of Jesus.
- Pray for those near and far who have been suffering in battles that do not have to be. Pray that peace can be found amidst the fear and anger, frustration and more. May hope blossom and bring that peace once more.
- Pray for our friends and our enemies, may they all find that the gift of God’s Son, Jesus, holds the hope and faith everyone seeks.
- Keep hope alive in your prayers no matter the pain or strife we might suffer.
- May God bless every one of us as we continue on.
Prayer: Father in heaven, we thank You for this day and for these who are here to share it with us. We thank You for the blessings brought and for those yet to come. We pray that You can remind us always what we should be looking forward to. We bring prayers for those who have been seriously ill. Help those who are working to fight serious illnesses the ability to find solutions. We pray for those lost and those who mourn. We pray for all those who are victims of violence. Opening Song:  Great Is The Lord https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocmCTU_rEeI

Sermon:  Good afternoon. Today’s inspiration came very late last evening while praying to find an answer to what the Spirit was trying to tell me this week. That answer came to me in four verses from Scripture. The first of those verses would be here.
Psalm 118:8 KJV – It is better to trust in the LORD than put confidence in man.
We have seen this verse many times over the years. Trust the LORD it says here. You’ll also note that it is better to trust him than to trust your fellow man. How intriguing is that? There are many of us who have put trust in those we believe to be friends, colleagues, and so forth. Yet, those same friends and colleagues can, on occasion break that trust. God, however, never will break His. It is difficult in today’s world to believe, to trust in God, at least for some.
I was discussing this the other day with someone and tried many times to reassure them that there is a reason for everything and that God will help them prevail. Note how difficult it is to console people, to bring their spirits up when they choose not to listen and hear. It is more difficult to change a person’s mind than it is to allow them to walk away from the beliefs they have lived for so very long.
Psalm 62:8 KJV – Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Trust in Him always! Give your heart to Him! He is our refuge, our safety! Oh how wonderful this world would be were we to believe, to hold that very same trust, to give our hearts and realize they are safe with the LORD. Yet, still, the heart of man would often stand in the way. Even to this day we can see that.
Isaiah 2:22 KJV – Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
Notice this? Don’t believe everything you hear from your fellow man. Believe in the One who gave you life in the first place. That One is our LORD. There in His arms would be where our hearts belong. There in His embrace we can find our spirits rising, our souls rejoicing, our minds gaining wisdom. Let us see what remains for today as we learn so much from His inspiration.
Jeremiah 17:5, 7 KJV – Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Cursed! Man is cursed should they believe and trust only in his fellow man. This is something so many of us forget. Trust in the LORD! Believe what He tells you more than anything man would say. This is why we pray, meditate, and read Scripture. The LORD gives us answers. Now, that’s something to think about as we pray in the prayer that Jesus brought us.
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:9-13)

Our mission for Covenant of Hope Ministries and Poetic-Expressions is not to exploit fear, but to conquer it, and overcome all that is created through fear together as the rainbow in the darkness.

This mission statement speaks of the rainbow in the darkness. Every time I would have a seriously traumatic thing happen in my life I would wake in the middle of the night. When I do I see a rainbow at the end of my bed, or even through the window behind my head. I’ll see that rainbow in a dark room even during the day. It will hover in the shadows and reassure me that God is with me.

His Strength Is Ours and Will Get Us Up On the Path Once More

Good afternoon, welcome to Covenant of Hope Ministries. My name is Rev. Laura A. Neff, the Rainbow Minister. The choice for Rainbow has to do with the fact that the rainbow symbolizes a promise made and one that can and will be kept. I made, long ago, a promise to God that I would do all I could to keep that faith within me. We are normally posted on Sundays for sermons and Wednesdays for studies. You can find these posted in the following locations.

Prayer List: We have many on our prayer list. Some wish to remain anonymous, and others only wish to have their first names mentioned. Our prayer list has grown from last week. This is our current prayer list for this week.
- Please pray for a friend Susie Bartholow as she is in hospice. She is in very grave condition with cancer. Hospice care is in her home with her family. Keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

- Please pray for Elder Cal Jennings as his heart and spirit need to be lifted high once more. Pray that inspiration would assist in this.

- Please pray for a friend of ours, Lucy, whose liver is failing. She is going to be on medication but may need a transplant. Pray that the first option works and she returns to health.
- Pray for a friend of my brother’s, who is far from home right now. There have been many problems for her right now. It is our hope that she will return and be here to complete her healing and more.
We thank you for the gift of inspiration, no matter when that might be. We bring prayers for those who have been seriously ill. Help those who are working to fight serious illnesses the ability to find solutions. We pray for those lost and those who mourn. We pray for patience and courage for those we love and care about, and ourselves as well. We pray for peace to reach out from the heart and be heard, felt, and understood. We pray that Your grace and love would fill the hearts of the many in this world. We pray all this in Your Holy Name through the Savior Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, Amen and so it shall be.

Opening Song: His Strength Is Perfect

Sermon:  Good afternoon. Today’s sermon was influenced by a much older one, but gives a slightly different message. Many of us in this world today, whether in this ministry or otherwise have had a very hard time finding strength in themselves. It doesn’t matter which view of Christianity, all of them have seen their shares of weakness, especially lately. Let’s see what God shares with us in that regard.
Isaiah 35:3 KJV – Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
So, how do we do this? How do we strengthen our weak hands and feeble knees? How do we strengthen our spirits and more? That’s simple. Trust in the LORD. I know, the first words out of most mouths would be, it sounds simple, but that doesn’t mean it is so. Well, this is true. It can indeed be difficult to trust in the LORD to heal our feeble hearts, knees, and our weak hands.
Job 4:3, 4 KJV – Behold, thou hast instructed many, and upon thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.
Look at this here. He has instructed many, and has strengthened many of the weak hands. His words have held up the ones who have fallen, or are falling, and has strengthened the knees of many.
Hebrews 12:12 KJV – Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
This is also interesting, that He not only unbends our weak knees, or helps us stand. He also straightens the path for those same feet. This keeps us on the path, fixing the path itself. Think about this. Just think about it. We might fall off the path, but that doesn’t mean the path wasn’t broken. Perhaps our thoughts strayed. Perhaps things have happened that have taken us away. Yet, He will put that path right in front of us again, straight and smooth when we learn again that He can lift us up. He can hold us securely. He loves us enough to bring that strength to our hands, our hearts, our knees, and our spirits as well.
